Physicochemical properties:
1) White monoclinic system crystal
2) Specific density: 1.72
3) Melting point: 73°C
4) Dehydrate at 75°C
5) Decompose into basic salt at 135°C and completely decompose into
aluminum oxide and nitrogen gas above 500°C. It is easily dissolved
in water, methanol, ethanol and glycerol but not in pyridine. It exhibits
hygroscopic property
6) Application and usage: it is mainly applied to manufacture catalyst used
in organic synthesis, dye mordant in textile industry, tanning agent for
leather, inhibitor for anticorrosion, anti-sweat agent, and salting out agent
used in recycling nuclear fuel though solvent extraction process
