Molecular Weight: 297.47

Physicochemical Properties: Zinc nitrate hexahydrate is a colorless tetragonal crystal. Its easy in moisture absorption. Specific density: 2.065. Melting point: 36.4. It will become anhydrous variety at the temperature ranging from 105 to 131. Zinc nitrate hexahydrate is dissolved in water and alcohol. Its solution shows acidity. Zinc nitrate is subject to deliquescence and is known as an oxidizer. It will burn or explode once in contact with easy combustion things. It cant be eaten.

Applications and Usages: It is mainly used in zinc electroplate and preparation of phosphorization agent for iron and steel. It is still applied as dye mordant, acid treating catalyst in pharmaceutical industry, gelling agent for emulsion, and catalysts.
